Target & HomeGoods Haul
DISCLAIMER: I was not asked to do a haul post by the stores mentioned in this post. These items were bought with my own money because I wanted them and that is it!
I am like every other student struggling with money while in college I cannot pass up a deal. If that deal comes in the form of a free item or anything below the $10 line, then I am all about it. When I am looking for a good deal, I hit the “playground” at Target or Homegoods, and on my recent trips to the two stores, I was not disappointed. Here is my modest haul from the two stores:
With HomeGoods, you never know what you can find there. I have been coveting the marble displays and items that many other bloggers have been using. I have looked all over the Internet and was going to even try a flooring store if I could not find a cost effective way to achieve my own marble background. Well, luckily I was able to find a marble serving board for $10 which is a little on the steep side but compared to the prices I have seen at other places that are quite a deal. I was able to find a cool charging station for my desktop or vanity (whenever I set either one up). Finally, I found an alternative to the outrageously expensive cups that keep your drinks super cold for long periods of time. This one was $10! I am super excited to have cold water and plus I can put hot items as well. Winning!
I had one goal for Target; get my free playground item that was waiting for me in my Target Cartwheel app. If you haven’t tried the app, I highly recommend it, especially if you are looking for great deals. I found a set of two milk jugs with straws while looking for the best item to get for free (check my Instagram for how I have used them lately). I also picked up a new Degree Dry Spray; it is my secret weapon for staying dry during the day and plus it holds up during my intense workouts. I have been on a sheet mask kick lately and I decided to try a new brand. I have used Yesto(c) products before so I know that I will possibly like them. While perusing the aisles I found the most peculiar item; an electric razor for women. I am very much against having to spend close to $20 for a pack of razor refills, so when I saw this cute like waterproof device for $10 I blooped it into my basket and went along my merry way. Stay tuned for my reviews on the beauty products here on the blog!
(Below deals with politics. If you do not want to read it you can click here to read how I changed up some pieces in my bathroom using just spray paint!)
Okay on another note. Yesterday in the United States we held our Presidential election, but also elections for some referendums (depending on the state), some of the seats in Congress, and our local officials. I will say this right now, after working for the government for eight years, I did not vote in this election. Not because I didn’t think my candidate would lose. Not because I didn’t like who was running. It was for the simple fact that I did not want to; it is an unpopular choice especially with the candidates involved, but it was still my choice. I do not plan on bitching about what happens echelons above me, I just plan on working hard at what I do and try and make the United States a better place for myself, my fellow Americans, and the future generations. This is not the time to hold grudges and go off the deep end, this is a time to unite and reach across party lines in order to make the United States of America great again. We are stronger when we are one. This will be the last time I talk about politics...most likely.
